ARRIVAL BY TRAIN TO SCHENNA

ARRIVAL BY CAR TO SCHENNA


Anyone driving from the north on the Brenner motorway to South Tyrol needs a vignette for the section in Austria. You can conveniently purchase the digital vignette in advance on the Internet. To quickly cross the Brenner Pass, it is advisable to pay the route toll online in advance: this way you can pass the toll station preferentially through specially marked barriers. The Italian highways are chargeable.
You can purchase a Telepass from the private provider Tolltickets and thus avoid waiting times at the toll stations. You can have the Telepass sent to you by post or pick it up at a so-called pick-up station. With the hydrogen or electric car South Tyrol has a good network of charging stations in South Tyrol: If you travel by electric car, you can easily refuel your car at one of the charging stations. Guests arriving with a hydrogen car can supply their car with fuel at the Bozen hydrogen filling station after registering by telephone.

ARRIVAL BY BUS

Travel on Wednesdays or Saturdays from Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dortmund or other cities in the comfortable ICE or EC to Munich. There you will find the direct connection to Schenna at the central bus station (ZOB). Modern coaches take you to your host - without changing trains or long waiting times. The bus connection is also a convenient way of returning from Schenna to Munich after your E 5 hike, continuing to Oberstdorf by bus or train.
